"Flexibility truly is a key word at Vanderlande Industries. This is also true for our way of looking at document management - as an operating specialist in material handling systems on an international market, we need to be flexible and able to change our routines according to the demands of the customers. Our search for more flexibility brought us to LaserNet, and this is now our preferred output management solution", says Noud Veekens, senior software engineer at Vanderlande Industries. For more than ten years, Vanderlande has worked closely together with the output management specialist Quadira in order to be able to fulfill the demands of the customers by using cutting-edge output management software.

Vanderlande Industries uses Enterprise One from as their ERP-system which again runs on an IBM AS/400 platform. The routines of how to work with documents from Enterprise One with LaserNet is already firmly in place, as VanderLande has used LaserNet for some years already: "By using LaserNet, Vanderlande employees can produce a standard layout on all business documents and distribute them in the correct format and to the correct receiver. LaserNet simply catches the information from JD Edwards and processes this in order to produce "clean" documents which again can be emailed, printed and/or stored. Before this process is completed, however, it is possible for the employee to use the preview function and thus check if the document he or she is working with is correct in terms of i.e. amounts or logos, or other relevant details", says Noud Veekens.
