The Danish Agricultural Agency
In October 2022, Formpipe and Capgemini Denmark secured a record-breaking contract with the Danish Agricultural Agency valued at up to 100 million DKK.
Optimizing the Digital Landscape
The focus is on the digital operation and development of the CAP-TAS platform, which manages EU subsidies for Danish farmers.
The platform plays a central role in ensuring smooth and efficient administration of the support system, which is vital for the farmers' operations and the broader rural development.
The agreement is built on over 15 years of experience and deepens the collaboration by combining local expertise with a global delivery model. This enables a flexible and innovative solution tailored to both national needs and EU requirements.
At the same time, we are committed to creating a digital infrastructure that is robust, user-friendly, and future-proof.
Through this strategic partnership, we are laying the foundation for more efficient resource management, where technological improvements go hand in hand with sustainable solutions. With a focus on continuous development and optimization, we contribute to strengthening the Agricultural Agency's digital landscape, thereby supporting farmers in their important work.
Extensive Experience with CAP-TAS
The Danish Agricultural Agency has long used the CAP-TAS platform to manage applications and payments of EU subsidies to Danish farmers. The application process is highly complex and governed by intricate rules. The highly automated digital process has delivered significant benefits, such as reducing processing times, minimizing error rates, and optimizing the user experience for farmers.
Formpipe began working on the system more than 15 years ago. This solid experience with the CAP-TAS platform has provided deep domain knowledge and unique insights into the surrounding infrastructure systems.
"It’s a great honor to continue our long-standing collaboration with the Danish Agricultural Agency."
– Thomas à Porta, CEO, Formpipe Denmark.
Collaboration to Meet Future Requirements
The Danish Agricultural Agency sought a supplier who could ensure smooth operations by delivering, implementing, and maintaining software for the platform. The supplier was required to provide a combination of local domain knowledge, extensive application management services, scalability through a global approach, and competitive pricing. Formpipe’s partnership with Capgemini, one of the world’s largest IT companies, was the winning formula for securing the contract.
Jon Emil Simonsen, Chief Operations Officer at the Danish Agricultural Agency, explained the importance of consolidating application development, system operations, and application maintenance for CAP-TAS into a single contract:
"With the new contract, we are well-prepared to offer a better user experience. We look forward to getting started."

Global Delivery Model with a strong position in the Public Sector
Capgemini brings a global delivery model with a strong presence in the public sector and agriculture. Formpipe will now combine its local domain expertise with Capgemini’s international knowledge of digitalized agriculture.
"We are very proud to have won this contract and look forward to working with Capgemini Denmark. It’s a great honor to continue our long-term collaboration with the Danish Agricultural Agency," says Thomas à Porta, CEO of Formpipe Denmark.
Jakob Villadsen, Project Manager for the contract and an employee at Formpipe, has been part of the CAP-TAS project since its inception in 2010. He is also looking forward to further developing the relationship with the agency.
"The contract expands our collaboration into new and exciting areas. I’m also very much looking forward to working with Capgemini. Now, we will develop the CAP-TAS platform further and, with great dedication, continue supporting the Danish Agricultural Agency for many years to come."
