A platform for 21 county administrative boards
Following pressure from the Government, Sweden's 21 county administrative boards needed to find a new partner to streamline the case management process. With Platina as a basis, Formpipe has helped to introduce a robust processing platform that has fully automated many of the company's e-services.

Increased service for thousands of people
The County Administrative Boards are 21 independent authorities, one for each county, with responsibility for permits and supervision. In total, the organizations have over 6,500 employees. Every day, thousands of cases come in to the County Administrative Boards, which places great demands on streamlined processes and smooth flows.
A couple of years ago, the County Administrative Boards were commissioned by the Government to increase the level of service to both citizens and companies. At the same time, there were demands for all case management processes to be streamlined. It was important to find a partner who could help automate large parts of the administrative work.
Platina – the obvious choice
The goal was for all administrators to carry out the entire work process within the case in new electronic processes - from registration to decision. This placed great demands on the new solution, but in the end, Platina was the obvious choice.
“The introduction of Platinum at the County Administrative Boards is well in line with the ambition of streamlined administrative handling and open doors for an accelerated development of new e-services”, says Ewa Larsson, IT Manager at the County Administrative Board in Västra Götaland County.
By introducing automatic routines, such as checking the application fee and exchanging information with other authorities, the County Administrative Boards have saved both time and money. The number of incoming questions and telephone calls has decreased drastically, which has given room for handling more complicated cases.
“80% of all cases from security companies today come in via the e-service. Of these, there are approximately 12,000 notification cases per year and they are now fully automated,” states Ewa Larsson.
