Heuver achieves cloud dream with Fellowmind and Lasernet

Lasernet helps build a futureproof ERP solution for one of Europe’s leading tyre wholesalers.

With over 10,000 different products, tyres and rims for trucks, earthmoving and agricultural machinery, stored in a 50,000 m² warehouse capacity, Heuver is one of Europe’s leading tyre wholesalers. To remain market leaders, they made the decision to upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and have migrated to the cloud.

Putting the customer first

Heuver’s clients require access to a vast number of products, at competitive prices, with fast delivery.

"The logistics game has changed so much in recent years, and our old business software was not able to keep up", says Kasper Olimulder, Operations Manager at Heuver. "As we wanted to remain a leader in our industry, we sought a futureproof ERP system to meet customer demands and market trends better."

Operating across Europe comes with its challenges, as country-specific invoicing requirements, different currencies, languages and layouts all need to be considered. Heuver already knew standard Dynamics could not meet their document requirements, and as their existing document management solution could not offer a full cloud service, Lasernet was taken on board to solve their complex document issues.

The Journey to the cloud

With ageing hardware and a desire to upgrade to Dynamics 365, Heuver wanted to go fully cloud-based to save money on replacing their existing servers and ensure they have the latest technology at their fingertips.

After extensive research, Heuver chose Fellowmind, one of Formpipe’s most established partners, to perform the upgrade.

With summer being the most popular time for vehicles to have their tyres changed, a deadline date was set to ensure Heuver were fully operational for its peak business period. Fellowmind is committed to performing the upgrade and providing full training within seven months.

Using Lasernet, Fellowmind was able to create 11 business-critical documents to meet Heuver’s requirements. Using an agile approach enabled Heuver to use Lasernet not only in Dynamics 365 but also in their day-to-day activities. This has provided ongoing improvements in their warehouse, sales and purchasing processes. Lasernet training was completed in just two days and by educating Heuver’s IT team in the capabilities of Lasernet, they are now able to design, create, edit and maintain documents themselves.

Heuver currently has 125 users and is outputting in excess of 7,000 documents per month across 11 documents, including invoices, purchase orders and packing slips. Lasernet is providing documents on Dynamics data and also across other solutions. The majority of documents are electronic, with the exception of Romania where they are required in paper format. This was not an issue for Lasernet, as it has the ability to generate any document in any required format.

The Results

To provide greater efficiency as well as an outstanding level of customer service, Heuver uses Lasernet to store its customers' documents online, enabling them to log in to their accounts and view and download documents such as invoices and packing slips.

This reduces the number of enquiries received by the call centre and provides an exceptional customer experience.
