How Formpipe helps DNB Luxembourg generate and archive high-quality portfolio statements for private banking customers
As a market-leading financial institution, DNB have always looked to provide the very best experience for their constantly growing customer base.
After a review of their business metrics in 2015, they decided it was time to move away from their legacy infrastructure and adopt a modern, flexible and powerful core banking system that would allow them to meet the changing needs of their customers better as well as providing a platform that will scale both functionally and technologically well into the future.

Autoform DM migrates data away from legacy systems
The new system would need to address the four main issues found in their legacy system:
- The inefficient handling of an ever growing
portfolio of customer assets. - The inability to quickly bring new products and services to a rapidly changing market place.
- The high cost of maintenance.
- The inability to provide a high quality unified
banking experience, across multiple digital
channels.
Fully integrated output and document management functionality
After a thorough analysis of the core banking market, Temenos' core banking platform emerged as a clear winner, alongside Lasernet and Autoform DM for its fully integrated output and document management functionality. With a long and successful project history behind them, both Temenos and Formpipe proved to be the perfect fit for DNB.
To fit with DNB’s aggressive timelines, Temenos’ Luxembourg based service partner, Syncordis, was brought in to manage delivery and mitigate project risks. With only a small team from each company, the entire project, front to back, was delivered on time and under budget.

Lasernet generates high quality portfolio statements
The key feature of Lasernet for DNB was the ability to generate high-quality Portfolio statements for their private banking customers. With clean XML data provided by Syncordis, Lasernet was able to use it’s built-in calculation tools and fully extensible scripting to provide detailed wealth analysis with exceptional visual results.
Once generated the portfolio statements could either be automatically printed and posted or securely emailed, according to each customer’s preference. In addition, each portfolio statement is automatically archived for immediate round-the-clock retrieval and viewing via DNB’s TCIB portal.
This flexibility is not just confined to portfolio statements. Lasernet and Autoform DM are being used to produce, send and archive all of the DNB’s core documentation, such as valuation reports, confirmations, advice notes, account statements, foreign exchange, mortgage advice and multi-currency floating rate loan facility agreements, to name but a few.
