"Mike Bauer: Investing in Young People Creates Value"

With us, you can meet all kinds of people. The common denominator is that we are all driven by our vision to create the digital society of the future with people at the center. Digital and technological development is moving extremely fast, and it is important to keep up. It is essential to invest in the young talents of the future, and we experience that it provides great value for our company.

Facelift of Meeting Management Platform

Formpipe Danmark's ESDH solution, Acadre, is constantly being developed to meet customers' needs. One of the modules, Meeting Management, is currently undergoing a major upgrade. To bring new perspectives and innovation to the project, the company's Chief Architect and Product Manager have formed a team of experienced and young colleagues, including three software development students from Copenhagen Business Academy. Their goal is to create a new and modern meeting management solution that surpasses what is currently available in the market.

A drive and enthusiasm in a different league

"It makes so much sense for us to involve young people in our development process and the development of our systems because they see the system with fresh eyes and can contribute with lots of input. They also have fantastic drive and enthusiasm, which are good prerequisites when we throw them into new things they haven't tried before. A combination of us experienced and the young people together creates just the right balance to achieve a good end result. And that's why hiring and investing in young people creates so much value for us and our company. And we just have a lot of fun at the same time," says Chief Architect Mike Thomas Bauer.

An informal workplace with room for everyone

"Formpipe is a very informal company where there is room for all kinds of people, and I really like that. And even though I've only been at Formpipe for a short time, it's great that you are taken seriously right from the start and are allowed to be part of the development of new software solutions. I learn a lot from this and gain a lot of experience that I can also use in my studies," says student Lukas Bang Stoltz-Andersen.

Young people also have a voice

"It's very different what we get to work with at various companies, but the cool thing about Formpipe is that we get to work with their products and get to be part of the entire development process. They value us young people and our knowledge incredibly much, and therefore, you feel that you actually contribute something to the company, and it gives huge satisfaction as a young student," says student Sebastian Godsk Hansen.

Would you recommend Formpipe as a workplace to other young students?

"Yes, I would. At Formpipe, you are not 'just' a student; you are just as much a part of the collegiality, where we students have become an integral part of the entire team we work with. This means that we really feel welcome, and all our colleagues are just really talented, and you learn so much from meeting them at work every single day. And it's a company where they can see a lot of opportunities in young people, and therefore you are listened to and allowed to show what you can do," says student Christoffer Wegner.
