Due to the Public Sector preservation demands, Long Term archive is a feature rich and comprehensive product, features include;
Flexible permission structure
Permissions can be set against Users, Groups, Archives, Search criteria, object types and individual objects. However complex or bespoke you believe your permission requirements are, we can meet them through the configuration of the permissions within Long Term Archive.
Data Management Rules
We understand that preservation is an active discipline completely different from putting a physical archive box into deep storage. Our data management rules allow objects or groups of objects to be applied to preservation workflows. Files can be upgraded to ensure they are using the most recent file format and critically files and their associated metadata can be deleted in a controlled manner, producing a demonstrable log in the process.
OAIS method
Both the product and our projects are underpinned by the open-source OAIS methodology, ISO14721 and ISO15489. Following these widely accepted long term preservation methods is how we can assure that your files and objects will be easily retrievable in a comprehensive and timely manner and crucially in a human-readable format.
